Google แจ้งว่าจะยุติบริการ Google Latitude ในวันที่ 9 สิงหาคม 2013  ซึ่งจะมีผลกับบริการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ Latitude ดังต่อไปนี้

• Google Latitude in Google Maps for Android
• Latitude for iPhone
• Latitude API 
• Latitude public badge, the iGoogle Gadget   
• Latitude website at maps.google.com/latitude
• จะไม่มีการ update Feature Latitude ใน Google Maps สำหรับ Android
• Latitude for iPhone จะถูกถอดออกจาก App Store

อย่างไรก็ตามเรายังสามารถ share location กับเพื่อนผ่าน Google+  ด้วย Google+ Android app และ Google+ on iOS ซึ่งจะเปิดให้ใช้งานในไม่ช้านี้
